Thank you for your interest in contributing to the Ally Cooperative Blog. To ensure we align on goals and expectations, please complete and submit the below information for guest blogger consideration.
Before submitting your application, please review our guidelines for guest bloggers. If you think you’re a good fit, fill out the Guest Blogger Application.
Guest Blogging Guidelines
Please read the following guidelines very carefully. If you pitch a topic that isn’t relevant to our readers, or if there are any typos in your application form, your application will be deleted.
All guest posts must be specifically relevant to the mission of elevating the dialogue and concepts of allyship to the general public.
Posts are typically 500-1000 words in length, but longer or shorter ones will be considered.
Preference will be given to original posts that have not previously been published on other platforms.
Guest posts may be self-promotional or include marketing links, as long the content is educational and informative. We reserve the right to remove excessive links or any links that appear spammy.
Once we publish your post, we suggest that you don’t publish it anywhere else online for 30 days. This is in no way a requirement, as the content is, and will always be yours. Unlike many organizations, we have no interest in controlling your voice, your content, or your story.
All posts on the Ally Cooperative blog include a horizontal image between the title and the introductory paragraph of the article.
If you’re including pictures of people, please make sure you have their permission to use them.
If you did not take the photo yourself, you must attribute the image to its source in whatever manner is required by the copyright holder.
Approved guest bloggers will receive an email invitation to complete their author profile and author their first blog article. We have very few, but very important requirements as it pertains to your author profile.
Your author profile must have a current picture of you.
Your author profile must include a brief bio.
Your author profile must include your name and pronouns.
Links within your bio are not permitted.
Your name will link to your website or blog, and you are welcome to include links to your social media profiles as well.
All guest posts should be grammatically correct and free of spelling errors. We reserve the right to make minor edits not affecting the content of the post. Should any of these edits be necessary, we will notify you.
Once your post has been published, we will publicize it on Facebook, LinkedIn, and send it to our email list. It will also be publicized randomly as long as it remains on the blog. Your post will remain on the blog as long as the content remains relevant.
Once your post has been published, you will have access to a direct link to the post. We expect all guest bloggers will share it on any social media sites where you have accounts, on your website, and/or in your newsletter.
Please take the time to reply to the comments you receive about your article on the Ally Cooperative Blog.
The guest blogger application is not a guarantee of publication. We do our best to respond to all applications within 24 hours of submission. We do respond to every application.
